We talk a lot about Jesus’s teachings… his miracles… his disciples.
But we rarely talk about how it all got funded.
The ministry of Jesus—his travel, his meals, his healing—was financially supported by women.
Not religious leaders.
Not wealthy men.
Women.
Mary Magdalene. Joanna. Susanna.
They weren’t background characters.
They were stakeholders.
They didn’t give to be noticed.
They gave because they had been changed.
And love does that. It loosens our grip and opens our hands.
And if that was true then… maybe it’s still true now.
